Cerrai, Comune di Pisa) On December 22, 1914, the new Splendor cinema opened with the following program: Il ladro (The thief) (3-act drama by Bernstein), and Pathé, Max Linder (comical).The screenings run every hour from 15:30 until 22:30 at the price of 1 lira for the first rows and 50 cents for the second ones, with 700 seats in total. The place is now called Lumiere, in addition to film screenings here you can attend concerts, presentations and parties... Since 1914, except for a few brief interruptions due to military causes or for the renovation of the premises, a cinema has always been housed here, and for this reason it is considered among the oldest in the world despite having repeatedly changed its name (Splendor, Splendore, Supercinema, Mignon, Splendor again) and the type of programming
