Teatro Nuovo di Pisa
Founded and built by the railway workers of Pisa in the early 1950s as a recreational space, from the 1970s to the early 2000s the city was known as a cinema (the first in Pisa to show films in 3D). After a few years of abandonment, since 2018 it is managed by the association Binario Vivo APS, in synergy with the Dopolavoro Ferroviario Association, owner of the structure.
Binario Vivo - social promotion association, production centre and independent theatre company - for over five years has been offering a seasonal exhibition of contemporary prose shows - with important national and international productions -, as well as world music, dance, and performances for schools and children. The theatre is regularly used for events and congresses.
