The exhibition ‘Io e l'Arte / 1974-2024’ by the well-known Pisan painter Alberto Berti will be inaugurated on Saturday 12 October 2024 at 6 p.m. at the exhibition spaces of the CentroArteModerna Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Pisa, curated by Massimiliano Sbrana, on Lungarno Mediceo at no. 26, as part of the 20th edition of the GIORNATA DEL CONTEMPORANEO (Contemporary Art Day) promoted nationally by AMACI (Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums).

The exhibition itinerary, created in the fiftieth year of this author's artistic activity, will allow visitors to admire numerous works by Alberto Berti: more than 20 acrylic paintings, characterised by colour games, women who seem unreal due to strange perspective games and real as they are filmed in their everyday life. The exhibition in Pisa will be completed by some lithographs, the result of Alberto Berti's experience as an engraver since the 1980s.

Alberto Berti has positioned himself in the art world, finding his own path between pop-art and the contemporary avant-garde.  He is an artist who paints in search of sensations, considering colour the instrument through which he enriches his compositions with simplicity and at the same time elegance, representing nature, passion and the senses interpreted through instinct and interiority.

The exhibition will be open until Wednesday 23 October 2024 with free admission.
