The Municipality of Pisa celebrates the arrival of 2025 with a concert show, free and accessible to all, by Elio e le Storie Tese on 31 December in Piazza dei Cavalieri.
The evening will start at 10 p.m., when Elio e le Storie Tese will take the stage for a show that will make the public sing and dance with the greatest hits of their career until the arrival of midnight, when everyone present will toast together to welcome the new year. This will be followed by the traditional fireworks display that will light up Ponte di Mezzo, with the magic of the fireworks reflecting on the waters of the Arno. But the party will not end here. For those who wish to continue the celebrations, a DJ Set will be set up in Piazza dei Cavalieri that will animate the square until late at night, offering music and entertainment to greet the New Year in style.

Traffic changes:
Ponte di Mezzo closed. In order to allow the scheduled events to take place, a series of traffic and road system measures have been adopted. Piazza dei Cavalieri and the roads leading into it will be closed to vehicular traffic on 31 December. Further traffic measures concern Ponte di Mezzo, the city's Arno embankments and the roads leading into them to allow the fireworks display to take place.
Here are the details of all the measures adopted:
Musical performances in Piazza Cavalieri
Until 03 January 2024, in Piazza dei Cavalieri, on the side of the Arco del Gualandi and on the side of the Palazzo del Consiglio dei Dodici, parking is forbidden with forced removal in the areas where the equipment necessary for the concerts is set up, with vehicular transit allowed at low speed and adopting all necessary precautions;
From 4.00 p.m. on 31.12.2024 to 4.00 a.m. on the following day, the following temporary traffic measures are adopted
PIAZZA DEI CAVALIERI: prohibition of vehicular transit except for vehicles serving the event, Police Forces and Emergency vehicles;
VIA CONSOLI DEL MARE from number 2 to Piazza dei Cavalieri: prohibition of vehicular transit and parking with forced removal;
VIA SAN FREDIANO in the section from Via Tavoleria to Piazza dei Cavalieri: prohibition of vehicular transit, except for residents' vehicles with access to the side properties, and prohibition of parking with forced removal
VIA DINI section between Piazza dei Cavalieri and Piazza San Felice di Nola: establishment of a ban on vehicular transit and establishment of a ban on parking with forced removal on both sides;
VIA OBERDAN: suspension of the pedestrian area for the duration of the events in progress, keeping the ‘pilomat’ in the lowered position.
Firework display in Ponte di Mezzo
PONTE DI MEZZO: from 5.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 until 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the end of the cleaning operation: closure to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, except for vehicles serving the firework display;
LUNGARNO GALILEI section from Piazza San Sepolcro to Piazza XX Settembre: from 5.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 until 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the end of the event for complete cleaning, closure to vehicular transit and no parking with forced removal except for vehicles servicing the event
LUNGARNO GALILEI, section from Ponte della Fortezza to Piazza San Sepolcro: from 8.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 until 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the end of the cleaning operations, closure to traffic, except for vehicles servicing the event; during the closure, parked vehicles may drive out to Piazza San Sepolcro following the alternative route. During this phase, on Piazza San Sepolcro and on Via Dal Borgo, the alternating one-way on sight will be established in order to allow vehicles parked on the Lungarno Galilei and those authorised by the ZTL to leave, with an alternative route from Via San Martino (abrogating the pedestrian area from Vicolo del Moro to Corso Italia), Via Toselli with the alternating one-way on sight, in the section Via Garofani/Via Dell'Occhio, Via Facchini, Via delle Belle Donne;
LUNGARNO GAMBACORTI section from Piazza XX Settembre to Via delle Belle Donne: from 5.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 until 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the requirements for complete cleaning cease, closure to vehicular transit and no parking with forced removal, except for vehicles serving the event;
LUNGARNO PACINOTTI stretch from Via Curtatone e Montanara to Piazza Garibaldi: no parking with forced removal, from 5.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 to 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the end of the event for complete cleaning;
LUNGARNO PACINOTTI: closed to traffic except for vehicles going to the car park in Piazza Carrara and authorised ZTL NORD up to Via Curtatone e Montanara, from 8.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 up to 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the end of the event for complete cleaning, except for vehicles at the service of the event;
LUNGARNO MEDICEO, section from Piazza Garibaldi to Piazza Mazzini: vehicular transit prohibited, from 8.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 to 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the end of cleaning requirements, except for vehicles servicing the event
LUNGARNO MEDICEO from no. 47 to no. 41: no parking with forced removal to allow emergency/rescue vehicles to park, from 8.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 to 9.00 a.m. on 01.01.25;
PONTE DELLA FORTEZZA: closure to vehicular transit of the west lane, in the south-north direction, from 8.30 p.m. on 31.12.24 to 9 a.m. on 01.01.25 and in any case until the end of the cleaning operation, except for vehicles serving the event;
Establishment of a ban on entering all the streets and alleys on the Lungarni subject to this measure and more specifically on the following streets: Bovio, Silvestri, Lanfranchi, Scorno, Torti, San Sepolcro, Franceschi, Del Moro, Serafini, Tidi, Vigna, P.zza Cairoli, with closure to vehicular transit by means of barriers;
VIA BOVIO: establishment of one-way alternating direction for residents only, at low speed and with right of way according to the direction of travel normally established, adopting all necessary precautions, to reach private properties
VIA LA TINTA: intersection Lungarno Galilei: mandatory right turn towards Via Bovio;
VIA PALESTRO: reversal of the one-way street direction in the Via Cavour/Via Verdi section;
VIA CAVOUR: Via Palestro intersection: left turn obligatory.
