Le Piagge and San Michele degli Scalzi for the little ones
Along the avenue, a beautiful promenade that runs along the Arno, there are playgrounds for children and equipment for sport enthusiasts.
Every year, on the first Sunday following the 16th of May, the Piagge Week is celebrated, also known as Sant'Ubaldo Fair, a convivial moment with stall selling sweets, 'brigidini', plants, flowers and a little bit of everything. The origin of the fair is very ancient and recalls the ancient pilgrimages to Gubbio in order to receive from the bishop the sacred anointing on the forehead, as a sign of liberation or protection from the devil.
