The celebrations of "Die di Santo Sisto", in memory of the pope and martyr of Pisa, will take place on Tuesday afternoon, 6 August, by the association Amici di Pisa, with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa.

The program provides at 6 p.m. the beginning of the ceremony in the church of San Sisto in Cortevecchia, with the historical procession and the laying of the laurel wreath on the tombstone that recalls the events of "6 August" over the centuries and with the floral homage to the bust of the Saint inside the church. The annual activity report will follow.

At 7.15 p.m.is scheduled the Holy Mass and at 9 p.m. the campano of the University and the bells of the churches of Pisa will sound at the end of the day.
