An important opportunity to get to know a piece of the history and spirituality of the city of Pisa, rediscovering the figure of a man who left a significant mark on the society of his time.
On Sunday 28 April, from 4 to 6 p.m., the Fondazione Opera Giuseppe Toniolo is pleased to open to the citizens the doors of the house where Blessed Giuseppe Toniolo lived from 1879 until his death in 1918. A free guided tour to immerse oneself in the daily and spiritual life of one of the most influential figures in the city at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: from the operational spaces of the current Foundation, to the historical library, to the private rooms where Toniolo spent most of his life and which were inhabited by members of the Toniolo family until a few decades ago.
To participate, interested parties must book by sending an email to segreteria@fondazioneoperatoniolo.it.
Reservation is essential: visitors will be organised in several tour groups with a guide who will offer an in-depth look at the historical context in which Toniolo lived and at his private, public and spiritual life.
Please note that the house is located on the second floor of a historic building without a lift: for those with mobility difficulties, the secretary's office is available for questions and requests for clarification.
