Start date:

On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February 2023, the Natural History Museum will host a family activity inspired by Manuela Mariani's books 'Gli animali non mangiano pastasciutta' and 'I segreti della natura'. Two beautifully illustrated, colourful and rhyming books for all those curious about environmental issues.
Starting with specimens from the museum, the author will read excerpts from her rhyming books. The readings will serve as a hook for explanations about the animals on display, their ethology, ecology and adaptations to their environments.

The Author
Manuela Mariani. Born in 1962, she holds a doctorate in Natural Sciences and a degree in ethology from the University of Pisa. In over twenty years of work as a guide at the Civic Museum of Natural History in Milan, collaborating on scientific exhibitions and with parks and nature reserves, she has followed her great passion: teaching nature to children.
