The 'Sancte Michael Archangele' Festival, promoted by the Ass. culturale I Bei Legami, is now in its fourth edition. This is the concert review that springs from the solemnity of Saint Michael Archangel (29 September) in the historic Pisan church of San Michele in Borgo. The appointments, always very popular and free for all citizens, will be three and sponsored by the Fondazione Pisa:
- On Saturday 1 October at 9.15 p.m., the musicians of the instrumental ensemble I Bei Legami, led by Maestro Pietro Consoloni, will perform a programme of music for strings through the famous works of Mozart, Janáček and Elgar. The evening is organised by the Ass. Dannunziana of Pisa, which has been culturally active in the area for many years.
- On Sunday, 2 October at 9.15 p.m., organist Stefano Vasselli, who is the titular organist of the church of S. Paolo entro le Mura in Rome, will perform a programme centred entirely on Cesar Franck, the cornerstone of Romantic music whose 200th anniversary falls on the anniversary of his birth.
- On Friday 7 October at 9.15 p.m., it will be the turn of a virtuoso musician from our territory: Maestro Claudiano Pallottini, organist of the Cappella Musicale del Duomo di Pisa. He will perform an organ programme of music of French origin from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
