Theatre on its way to places to be rediscovered

SENTIERI #10 is a new travelling show that offers a unique opportunity to visit the Tenuta del Gombo and the interiors of the recently renovated Ex-Villa Presidenziale in the San Rossore Park. Commissioned by Gronchi as a symbol of rebirth, the Villa has seen the presence of crowned heads and heads of state over the years. The route continues through the Villa's park, the forest, offers a view of the evocative Pineta Morta, reaches the characteristic dunes down to the sea, to the Marinette beach.
Making use of multiple forms of expression such as music, theatre, dance and poetry, the show involves a cast of 12 performers. The spectators (no more than 35 per performance) will be taken on an itinerant journey through a place otherwise closed to the public.
The integration of art and territory is a research that is continued by Azulteatro in Italy and abroad. SENTIERI, now in its tenth edition, conceived and directed by Serena Gatti and Raffaele Natale - Azulteatro, aims at enhancing the environmental and architectural heritage by creating an original and unique show composed ad hoc for the space. An event unrepeatable elsewhere, born, rehearsed, created and staged on the spot and not simply repurposed. The place, besides being the scene in which the performance takes place, is also the muse that inspires the artistic process, becoming an integral part of the creation, with its sounds, landscapes, the memories it preserves, the visions it evokes. A tribute to our land rich in beauty to be rediscovered.
The duration of each performance, including transport to the Villa, is approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
The public is welcomed at the Park Visitor Centre and from there is taken by train to the Villa where the actual performance begins.
The performance is itinerant. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Duration about one hour.
