Twenty photographs to describe Pisa with a new and, in some ways, unrepeatable look. Author's shots that tell the story of the city in the first weeks of the 2020 lockdown. Three years after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Municipality of Pisa wanted to remember those days with the photographic exhibition 'Pisa. La nuda bellezza', hosted in the atrium of Palazzo Gambacorti, Piazza XX Settembre.
The shots were taken by photojournalists Massimo Sestini, Laura Lezza (Getty Images), Fabio Muzzi (Il Tirreno), Andrea Valtriani, Mattia del Punta, Roberto Cappello (La Nazione), Guido Bettini and Matteo Del Rosso (Pisa City Council). In addition to the photos, the catalogue contains texts by Valentina Landucci, chief of service of Il Tirreno, Pisa editorial office, and Paola Zerboni, chief of service of La Nazione, Pisa.
Monday to Saturday 07.30-19.30. Free entrance.
The inauguration will be held on Saturday 4 March at 1 p.m., in the presence of the undersecretary for information and publishing, Alberto Barachini, and the mayor of Pisa, Michele Conti. The exhibition will remain open to the public until Friday 24 March 2023.
