Ready to celebrate the fifteenth edition of the Pisa Book Festival? This year you will squeeze with cocktails of books, sparkling and ruthlessly indie! The most popular independent publishing salon (and even publishers) turns off fifteen candles and wants to celebrate: make it party will be the password of those three days.

 

The festival will be the theme of the many scheduled appointments and is the holiday that inspired the illustrator Claudia Flandoli when he designed the five images of the Pisa Book Festival 2017, which after summer you will find on our site and on all the material of the Festival.

 

This year, the guest of honor will be Finland, celebrating the centenary of its independence and will bring to Pisa the North Wind, its fascinating language and an anticipation of Santa Claus. Among the guests will be the most representative voices of the contemporary literary landscape: Tuomas Kyrö, Rikka Pulkkinen, Minna Lindgren, Rosa Liksom.

 

Returns Scotland, a guest of honor in 2015, who sends to Pisa two representatives of the famous Tartan Noir, literary success of the last decade: Louise Welsh and Denise Mina. It also takes part in the Caffè Repubblica with journalists Laura Montanari and Fabio Galati and their guests, and in the Made in Tuscany section conducted by Vanni Santoni.

 

The little ones will celebrate in the company of the best children's book illustrators to which this year the Festival will give great space. But to celebrate will be the publishers who will bring to the Festival the novelties and their most representative authors. We are collecting their proposals and we can assure you that the program will be of the highest standard! At this time very delicate for bookstore sales, due to the distribution mechanism, it is important that the work of the publisher is valued and rewarded by the public's affection that, we are sure, will always be as numerous and attentive. The appointment is at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Pisa from 10 to 12 November.
