In the pleasant evenings of the Giugno Pisano, by popular demand after the sell-out of the previous events, the 'Walls of Pisa Night Experience' returns with 3 new dates, a nighttime film tour that through projections and audio allows visitors to relive firsthand the history of the city from Roman times to medieval glories, from the industrial revolution to the present day. The initiative, curated by Acquario della Memoria and the cooperatives CoopCulture, Itinera and Promocultura, is an immersive and engaging journey through the centuries between official history and anecdotes: from the birth of the Maritime Republic to the ingenious workings of the Roman baths, from the life of Laura Ruschi and the San Zeno artistic ceramics factory to the Marzotto industrial epic and the events of World War II.
After the first event on Friday, June 3, replicas on Friday, June 10 and 17. The departure of the tours, true 'walking cinema' experiences, will be at 9:30 p.m. at the Piezometric Tower (Fibonacci Pole, formerly Marzotto, with access from the bike/pedestrian walkway outside the Walls that can be reached from Via San Francesco or Via Vittorio Veneto), arriving at about 11 p.m. in Piazza dei Miracoli. The length of the walk is about 2 kilometers. Tickets 10 euros (plus 1.50 euros presale), free for accompanying persons with disabilities, recommended for audiences 12 years and older. People with disabilities, with prior notice, can be made to descend via the Piezometric Tower elevator as there is no elevator at the Santa Maria Tower. The initiative is held as part of the Mura di Pisa Night Experience project, conceived and developed by the cultural association Acquario della Memoria and supported by the Fondazione Pisa, in collaboration with other partners including Ati Mura di Pisa (CoopCulture, Itinera, Promocultura), Municipality of Pisa, Mappa Lab - University of Pisa - Department of Civilization and Forms of Knowledge, Nanof, Internet Festival, Alma Artis Academy.
