To enjoy the spectacle of Pisa under the stars, every Friday until 20th August, the walls will be accessible by night thanks to the event Mura by night: guided tours at night.
Participants will receive special 'necklace' lights and will be accompanied by a guide on a breathtaking tour full of history: from Piazza dei Miracoli, passing by the Roman baths of the 'Bagni di Nerone' and the church of San Zeno, to the rationalist 'Polo Marzotto' complex. There will be unique glimpses of Pisa, starting with the bell towers and facades of churches such as Santa Caterina and San Francesco that soar above the city's rooftops. Two shifts with departures at 21 and 21.30 from Torre Santa Maria in Piazza dei Miracoli and arrival at the Torre Piezometrica. Tickets cost €5 (plus €1.50 advance sale), free for children under 8 and for disabled accompanying persons.
Reservations recommended while places last by calling 0500987480 Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm, on the Coopculture website at http://bit.ly/BigliettiMura, or at the Torre Santa Maria ticket office during opening hours.
