Teresa Plantamura live at La Nunziatina Garden in Pisa for Colpi di Grazia, the music festival dedicated to female musicians.
COLPI DI GRAZIA
Concept: Metarock Association
Organisation: La Nunziatina
With the contribution of: Pisa Foundation
Another great artist arrives at La Nunziatina Garden, for Colpi di Grazia, the music review of the Metarock Association dedicated to women musicians.
Scheduled for Friday 26 May (7.30 pm) is the live performance of Teresa Plantamura, an eclectic singer-songwriter, at times ironic, at others aggressive, overwhelming, melodious, sweet, with her new album In Canto: nine songs, words and images, seven tracks and a song repeated twice; enigmatic subjects, figures with erased faces and composed in fragments, just like the pictorial stroke by Claudio Cargiolli that fixes the cover image.
Teresa Platamura lives in Massa and has performed in various contexts including the Metarock festival in Pisa, Metapollege Massa and Revolution Camp; the largest gathering of Italian university students. Significant participation in the most important exhibition dedicated to the acoustic guitar (Acoustic Guitar Meeting) and prestigious fairs dedicated to violin making and musical instruments such as Cremona Mondomusica and NAMN in Los Angeles.
The artist has opened concerts by Max Gazzè, Loredana Bertè, Levante and shared the stage with artists of various backgrounds and fame. In 2017, his first album entitled L'arca dell'angelo was released.
In 2022, he performed one of his tracks on the album Parole Liberate and the concerts that followed. Parole Liberate is a project that starts with a call for proposals, created by the social promotion association of the same name, issued by the Ministry of Justice: it proposes to prisoners to write a lyric that becomes a song thanks to the contribution of important artists from the Italian music scene. Released in April 2022 by Baracca & Burattini/The Orchard, with a cover image by Oliviero Toscani, the album took second place as Targa Tenco 2022 and was awarded the Premio Lunezia 2022.
On 28 February 2023, the single Finire per ricominciare was released, anticipating the album In Canto, released on 9 March by the Baracca & Burattini label and distributed digitally by The Orchard - Sony music.
On stage at the Nunziatina, accompanying the singer-songwriter will be Davide Bellazzini (electric/acoustic guitar), Luca Silvestri (bass), and Emanuele Badiali (drums).
Colpi di Grazia is the brainchild of the Associazione Metarock, and is organised in collaboration with La Nunziatina and with the contribution of the Fondazione Pisa. Next scheduled dates are 9 June with Arachel Dolphie and 23 June with Serena Altavilla.
