INITIATIVES ORGANIZED BY THE CITY OF PISA AND PISAMO
From Sept. 16 to 22, the city of Pisa will be the protagonist of European Mobility Week, an event full of initiatives dedicated to sustainable transportation with a specific focus on the benefits of sharing sustainable means of transportation such as bicycles and scooters.
Exhibitions, shows, exhibitions, road safety demonstrations, walks, run tracks, bike rides, book presentations and side events will culminate in the event on Sunday, September 18 when, in collaboration with Confcommercio Pisa, a breakfast will be organized on the Ponte di Mezzo for all participants.
The event was presented this morning, Sept. 15, with a press conference at Palazzo Gambacorti in the presence of the City of Pisa's mobility councillor, Pisamo's sole administrator Andrea Bottone, and Pisamo's mobility manager Salvatore Di Noia.
The European Mobility Week is also part of the World Car Free Day in which for the first time the city of Pisa will actively participate with the closure of the Ponte di Mezzo bridge for Saturday, September 17 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and a ban on cars on the Pacinotti, Gambacorti, Mediceo and Galilei riverbanks as well as the closure of the Ponte di Mezzo itself for Sunday, September 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All events are organized and managed by Pisamo, which thanks ANCE Pisa and Unione Industriale Pisana for their contribution in the production of a video documentary on European Mobility Week that will be used for the city of Pisa's bid for the European Mobility Awards 2023 in Brussels.

Matteo Dondé, expert in bicycle mobility planning, traffic moderation and redevelopment of public spaces - "City 30 and Tactical Urbanism."
Roberta Càlcina, sustainable mobility policy consultant, president of Hub-mat laboratory - "Olbia, first "City 30" in Italy";
Miguel Anxo Fernández Lores, mayor of the city of Pontevedra (Spain) - "Pontevedra, the political choice of City 30 in Europe."
Short speeches on local initiatives, the subject of the exhibition.

In the Secret Pisa of Second Chronicle.
An itinerary among the hidden curiosities of the city, accompanied by a journalist from the local magazine
Second Chronicle. From the "Arab" manholes of Via dell'Occhio to the Jewish burials of Via Cammeo, covered
by stalls. From the traces of the former ironworks to the follies of the "Babylon" club, where a
Pisan variant of roulette.

Sunday 18 - EXCURSION
Coltano Slow
Bicycle excursion in Coltano with gastronomic stops.
Meet at 3:30 p.m. at the Volta Pagina Literary Café, Via San Martino, 71 for bike inflation and welcome lemonade. A stop is planned at Guido's Garden where we will taste the produce that the season holds and at Trattoria Marconi, where we will recharge our energy with delicious pastries, fresh fruit and a coffee.
The route counts 30km traveled mainly on paved and unpaved secondary roads. Participation is recommended only for those with a bike suitable for riding on dirt roads and to be equipped with front and rear lights and reflective gillet. You can see the route of the outing on the komoot profile!
