The exhibition 'Postcards from the Future. New construction sites for the changing city', organised by the Municipality of Pisa in collaboration with Pisamo. The exhibition illustrates the main public works realised or underway in the period 2018 - 2023. The exhibition of the Public Administration's work in progress is a custom for the Municipal Administration of Pisa, started in 2002 and continued in 2007, 2013 and 2018, which allows to convey to the citizens a widespread communication on the ongoing transformations of the city, to present a balance of the interventions carried out and to verify their effectiveness.
From 2018 to 2023, the city of Pisa has seen many construction sites, works and interventions spread across a large part of the urban territory, from the city to the coastline. These are the large and small construction sites that are gradually changing the face of the city, redeveloping neighbourhoods, devoting attention to urban regeneration, common spaces, green mobility, and the enhancement of the monumental heritage, both with major works of redevelopment and rethinking of public spaces, and with an intense activity of extraordinary maintenance of streets, pavements, greenery and street furniture. Among the many interventions, the Municipal Administration has identified 10 Postcards from the Future that will be presented in the exhibition that will remain on display in the Logge dei Banchi from Saturday 11 to Friday 31 March, to give the citizens an account of the main investments carried out in these five years of the administrative mandate with the financial resources of the Municipality and with the funding from the superordinate bodies that the Municipal Administration has been awarded.
In addition to the inauguration on Saturday 11 March at 11 a.m., the exhibition space will host five appointments entitled 'Let's talk about the future', which will take place every Wednesday and Friday afternoon at 6 p.m. in the Logge dei Banchi:
