Workshops for families with children aged 7 and over at the Museum of Ancient Ships in Pisa
2nd and 4th Sundays at 15:30
Workshops and guided tours for children with our didactically experienced archaeologists and museum tours for adults: a special offer for families with children aged 7 and up.
While the little ones visit the museum, with its perfectly preserved ancient vessels, and take part in a beautiful educational workshop, their parents can in turn take part in the scheduled guided tour. A different workshop will be offered each time.

3rd Sunday of the month at 15:30
Guided tours of one hour with an in-depth look at the proposed theme, to be guided by our operators through the museum rooms, discovering ancient curiosities and secrets, with explanations suitable for all ages!
NOVEMBER 2023
12 November → 'Ancient weaves' workshop
We discover how weaving, one of the great inventions of the Neolithic period, was created by making a fabric with a horizontal loom, like the one used by our ancestors.
19 November → Thematic visit "At the origins of Pisa".
We retrace the history of Pisa from its earliest origins, from the evidence of the first settlements to the foundation of the Roman colony.
26 November → "Tabulae Ceratae" workshop
We reconstruct the ancestor of the notebook, the "tabula cerata", a wooden tablet smeared with wax, on which a few sentences will be engraved with a stylus. Learning to write as the ancients did will be child's play!
Duration 1 hour
All activities cost € 6 per person + admission to the museum
Family ticket € 20 (maximum 2 adults and 3 children aged 6 to 18)
