Workshops for children aged 7 and up at the Museo delle Navi Antiche di Pisa
On the 2nd and/or 4th Sunday at 15:30
Workshops and guided tours for children with our didactically experienced archaeologists: the little ones will visit the museum, with its perfectly preserved ancient ships, and take part in a beautiful didactic workshop. Parents can in turn visit the museum on their own or take part in the scheduled guided tour.
A different workshop will be offered each time.
Thematic visits for everyone!
3rd Sunday of the month at 15:30
Guided tours of one hour with an in-depth look at the proposed theme, to be guided by our operators through the museum rooms, discovering ancient curiosities and secrets, with explanations suitable for all ages!
MARCH 2024
10 March → Workshop "The Lombards arrive
Together we reproduce a Lombard cross, on embossed sheet metal, like the one found in the excavations in Piazza del Duomo in Pisa.
17 March → Thematic visit 'Pisa: from its origins to the Roman colony'.
A journey to discover the history of Pisa, from the evidence of the first settlements to the foundation of the Roman colony.
24 March → Workshop "Tabulae Ceratae: at school in Roman Pisa"
To discover what school was like in antiquity, we reconstruct the ancestor of the exercise book, the "tabula cerata", a wooden tablet smeared with wax, on which a few sentences will be engraved with the stylus.
Duration 1 hour
All activities cost € 6 per person + entrance to the museum
Family ticket € 20 (maximum 2 adults and 3 children aged 6 to 18)
