On Thursday 9 November, Bastione Sangallo (Giardino Scotto) will host the second edition of 'LIBERTAS PISARUM - Festa della Seconda Repubblica Pisana'. The initiative has been organised by the Crossbowmen of Porta San Marco and VitArS with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa to commemorate the Second Pisan Republic, the historical period between 9 November 1494 and 8 June 1509.

The event will take place at the Bastione Sangallo, where armour, bows and weapons on auction by the Compagnia del Leone Rampante, medieval musical instruments by the Associazione Musikantika will be displayed, accompanied by the evocative narration of the history of Porta San Marco, incorporated in the Bastione, and by displays of birds of prey from the Sunrise falconry.

From 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., the Bastion will also be open for visits by Pisan municipal schools and for all citizens. Palazzo Gambacorti will also be decorated for the occasion.
