On Saturday 14 October 2023 at 5.30 p.m. at the exhibition spaces of the CentroArteModerna Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery in Pisa, curated by Massimiliano Sbrana, on the Lungarno Mediceo at no. 26, Alberto Martini's personal exhibition entitled 'The Image of Things' will be inaugurated.
Alberto Martini is a painter who does not merely represent reality, but an artist who transforms and reinvents it with his own personality and style. His artistic production embraces different genres and themes, but always with a constant focus on the essence of things, which manifests itself through a rich and evocative visual texture. Every element, scenery or still life becomes an opportunity for him to investigate the imprints of time, the secret stories, the emotions that are fixed in the memory.
In this way, his works are not just images, but visual narratives that involve the viewer in an intimate and profound dialogue. This dialogue was highlighted by Fabrizio Pizzanelli and more recently by Ilario Luperini, who presented two important exhibitions dedicated to the Tuscan painter, one in Florence at the Regional Council of Tuscany and the other in Volterra. In these exhibitions, it was possible to appreciate the variety and quality of Martini's works, which range from landscape to still life, always with a strong expressive and symbolic charge. Martini is an artist who knows how to capture the soul of things and transmit it to the viewer with vibrant and original painting.
The exhibition, with free admission, will be open until 25 October with visiting hours: Tuesday-Friday: 10 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.; special opening on Sunday 15 and 22 October 2023 4.30 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. (on public holidays call for confirmation); closed on Monday.
