Literature and classics. The nineteenth edition of the Travel Festival, which will be held in Pisa from 25 to 29 September 2024, is a journey through the stories and adventures of famous writers. This year the first Italian festival dedicated to those who love to travel will be a showcase of some great classics of literature, because books are powerful journeys in the imaginary and milestones to face everyday reality.
In the days from 25 to 29 September some important buildings of the city such as Palazzo Blu, Palazzo Gambacorti, Palazzo Roncioni, Palazzo Toscanelli, Palazzo Royal Victoria Hotel will be the base of meetings and important events. To these prestigious places will be added some contemporary urban spaces such as Giardino Scotto, the residence mai.social.maison and city areas will become protagonists of some literary walks.
A long weekend to experience journeys near and far and to be thrilled by the most famous stories in literature. This nineteenth edition is organised by the Italian Travellers' Society in collaboration with the Pisa Foundation, Palazzo blu and UniCoop Firenze and under the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa and the Region of Tuscany.
The festival is under the direction of Alessandro Agostinelli and organised by Marzia Stevenson Maestri.
