The magic of Saturn with its rings, the majesty of Jupiter, the fascination and mysteries of the full moon: Friday 29 September in conjunction with Bright Night, researchers' night, an evening of observation at high altitude together with the astrophiles of the University of Pisa and their instruments installed on the city's ancient Walls, with the backdrop of the evocative view of the monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli from above.
For the occasion, the upper part of Torre Santa Maria will also be exceptionally open, where one of the telescopes will be located.
The initiative stems from the collaboration of the Walls of Pisa with the Museum of Physics Instruments, the LUS - Ludoteca Scientifica (University of Pisa Museum System), and the Physics Department of the University of Pisa. The event will be cancelled in the event of weather and visibility conditions that do not permit viewing of the stars.
Departure from the Torre Santa Maria in three shifts: at 9 pm, 10 pm and 11 pm.
