Sunday 4 June sees the renewal of the appointment with #domenicalmuseo, the initiative of the Ministry of Culture that allows free entry, every first Sunday of the month, to state museums and archaeological parks.
The Museo Nazionale di San Matteo will be open free of charge from 9 am to 1:30 pm (last admission 1:00 pm).
At 11:00 a.m., Professor Marco Collareta, former professor of Medieval Art History at the University of Pisa, in the room where the precious painting is exhibited, will offer visitors a new story: Gentile da Fabriano's 'Madonna of Humility', tempera and gold on panel, from the Pia Casa di Misericordia, Pisa.
The Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Reale will be open free of charge from 9 am to 1:30 pm (last admission 1:00 pm) with a free guided tour at 11.00 am.
The museums of the Sistema Museale d'Ateneo will also have free admission:
- Museum and Botanical Garden will be open free of charge from 8:30 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7:00 p.m.);
- Egyptological Collections, open free of charge from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm. Guided tours by appointment at www.egitto.sma.unipi.it;
- Graphic Arts Museum, open from 10 am to 8 pm.
