Sunday 5 January sees the renewal of the appointment with Sunday at the Museum, the Ministry of Culture's initiative that allows free admission, every first Sunday of the month, to state museums and archaeological parks.
The National Museum of San Matteo will be open from 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. (last admission at 1 p.m.), https://cultura.gov.it/luogo/museo-nazionale-di-san-matteo
At 11:00 a.m. appointment with ‘Arab inscriptions in the works of the Museo di San Matteo’, a dialogue with Maria Giulia Burresi and Mohammad Abuhashish, at the end of the exhibition ‘Pisa and the Arab world’, dedicated to the stages of the relations between the city of Pisa and the Islamic Mediterranean in the medieval period, realised by the State Archives of Pisa and the Museo Nazionale di San Matteo, in collaboration with the University of Pisa.
On 6 January 2025, the museum will be open from 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. (last admission 1 p.m.). Closed on Tuesday 7 January.
The Museum of Ancient Ships will be open from 2 to 7.30 p.m. (last admission at 6.30 p.m.). On 6 January it will be open the same time,from 2 to 7.30 p.m. Closed on Tuesday 7 January.
The Charterhouse of Calci will be open with free admission upon compulsory booking by calling +39 050 938430. Admission at 9 a.m., 10.30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
The museums of the Sistema Museale d'Ateneo will also have free admission:
