A tour with video projections at high altitude, a journey through the recent history of the city.

Bombs, foreign occupation, displaced persons, hunger, massacres, civilian victims. On Friday 25 April and Friday 2 May, in Liberation Week, Mura di Pisa and Acquario della Memoria propose Mura di Pisa Night Experience special Second World War. Walking cinema at night, sounds and images narrating the passage of the conflict in the city: the excitement of the beginnings, the bombardment of 31 August 1943, the resistance of the Casarosa partisan brigade, the city divided in two by the Arno river front, the cathedral invaded by evacuees, the Nazi round-ups, until 2 September 1944, the liberation of Pisa.

Departure at 9 pm at the Porta Pacis Piezometric Tower, arrival at approximately 10.30 pm in Piazza dei Miracoli.

The length of the route is 2 km with audio available only in Italian. 

NB. the route is closed in the event of bad weather and is partially accessible, People with disabilities, with prior notice m.pezzini@coopculture.it and muradipisa@coopculture.it, will be able to go up and down using the Torre Piezometrica lift as there is no lift at the Torre Santa Maria.
