Music in Pisa in the 17th century
"When the Sun Appears. Music in Pisa in the 1600s'.
Introduced by Academician Veronica Manghesi, the lecture will be held by Maestro Carlo Ipata, flutist, conductor and founder of the Auser Musici ensemble and profound connoisseur of the instrumental and operatic repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries.
On Saturday 16 September at 5.30 p.m. at the Museo della Grafica, Palazzo Lanfranchi, there will be a concert to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the Accademia dei Disuniti di Pisa.
The event will be held under the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa.
A choir of four voices will perform a cappella a selection of Pisan Baroque pieces conducted by Maestro Alessandro Carmignani:

THE HISTORY
The Accademia dei Disuniti was born in Pisa in 1623 (1624 in the Pisan calendar) and was refounded, after centuries of inactivity, in 1995, with the aim of rediscovering and enhancing Pisan tradition and culture with period events, concerts and conferences aimed at describing the glorious history of Pisa.
