The new exhibition ‘Images from Japan’ set up at the Graphic Museum, presents an evocative selection of prints belonging to the prestigious Farnesi collection, created by some of the greatest artists who, through their work, bear witness to the refinement of Japanese graphics.
More than forty woodcuts by Hokusai, Hiroshige, Utamaro, Kuniyoshi, Toshikata and other masters are exhibited, in which the naturalistic theme is dominant, declined in the most varied ways, offering an original review of landscapes of irresistible charm.
Presented concurrently with the Hokusai exhibition at Palazzo Blu, set up and curated by Alice Tavoni and Alessandro Tosi, and realised with the support of the Pisa Foundation, the exhibition unfolds in a path through the museum spaces, offering a sophisticated journey through the art of modern Japan.
The exhibition will be open until Sunday 26 January 2025.
