Built in several stages by Filippo Brunelleschi and Nanni Unghero, the Bastione del Parlascio was built in the 16th century to defend one of the most important city gates and is an important example of modern Italian fortification. To discover the interior and exterior spaces just restored, the history and the thousand vicissitudes that the structure has crossed in these centuries, from the use as a icehouse (diacciaia in pisano) to car repair shop passing by air-raid shelter, the Walls of Pisa organize the guided tour 'A bastion to discover'. Three appointments: Saturday 12, 19 and 26 October, departure at 4 p.m. from the Bastion with entrance from the side of Largo del Parlascio in front of the Baths of Nero, arrival in Piazza dei Miracoli passing on the path in height to which the fortress is connected.
Ticket 8 euro, 3 euro for children up to 8 years old, reduced to 7 euro for the appointments of 19 and 26 October for those who show up with the voucher 'Pisa Food & Wine Festival', free for accompanying people with different abilities.
