On Sunday 18 September, Pisa adheres for the first time to the World Car Free Day, which includes the closure of the Ponte di Mezzo bridge and a ban on cars on the Pacinotti, Gambacorti, Mediceo and Galilei lungarnos from 7.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is part of the European Mobility Week from 16 to 22 September organised by the Municipality of Pisa and Pisamo. There will be exhibitions, walks, run tracks, bicycle rides, book presentations and side events culminating in the large breakfast on the Ponte di Mezzo open to all participants, organised in cooperation with Confcommercio Pisa.
