The intervention of requalification. Started in February 2022, the restoration of the urban walls at the Scotto Garden was completed in March 2023 and provided for the redevelopment of the first stretch of walls between the Tower of Sant'Antonio and the Sangallo Bastion. In addition to the restoration and consolidation of the walls, including the restoration of the top from the Tower of Santa Barbara, with the restoration and functional restoration of the internal staircase of access, was rebuilt in wood the upper part of the tower of Sant'Antonio, incorporated in the defensive system of the medieval walls but originally serving as the bell tower of the adjacent church, was destroyed. After the construction of the steel structure of the stairwell and the elevator, the upper part of the tower, which had been cut off, was entirely rebuilt in wood with larch boards.

From the Tower of Sant'Antonio was built a point of ascent on the walls through which you will access the two walkways at height, one at 10 meters and the second lower, about 6 meters high, which develops in a gallery inside the walls, for a total of about 300 meters.

Access to the paths at high altitude is through elevators and ramps that guarantee full accessibility to disabled people.
