After last year's great success, the return of one of the most eagerly awaited events on the Pisa coastline, it is once again time for masks and confetti with the Marina di Pisa Carnival, ready to liven up the seafront with an afternoon of fun on Sunday 9 February, starting at 3 p.m..

The event, with free admission, is organised by Confcommercio Provincia di Pisa and Centro Commerciale Naturale di Marina di Pisa, with the collaboration of the Croce Azzurra Litorale Pisano, the patronage and contribution of the Regione Toscana, the patronage of the Comune di Pisa, the co-participation of the Camera di Commercio Toscana Nord-Ovest - Terre di Pisa, and the contribution of Fiva Confcommercio Pisa and Gruppo Scotti.

Starting at 3 p.m., adults and children alike will be able to experience an authentic afternoon of partying on the Marina di Pisa seafront with fun, entertainment, and lots of music. Not to be missed is the big fancy dress parade departing from the Port of Marina di Pisa, where Mary Poppins and the chimney sweeps together with many fantastic characters will parade along the seafront to provide laughter and excitement, accompanied by the enthralling music of the show bands ‘Del Bravo’, ‘La Sbandata’ and the ‘Musici sbandieratori di Pisa’.

The masked parade will cross the seafront to Piazza Sardegna and then culminate in Piazza Gorgona. It is precisely in Piazza Gorgona that the prize-giving ceremony for the best masks, divided into four categories: best adult mask, best baby mask, best junior mask, and best group mask, with prizes and surprises up for grabs for participants, will be held at 5 p.m..

The seafront will be closed to traffic from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. to allow the event to take place and the themed sets to be set up.
