From Friday 27th August, the Walls of Pisa will become the unique setting for the 'Night Experience': night-time film tours for an unprecedented audio and visual account of the city. A film guide will lead participants up the high walkway, projecting videos onto the façades and walls, with engaging audio content that will allow them to relive the history of Pisa from Roman times to medieval glories, from industrial Pisa at the end of the 19th century to the present day. Appointment every Friday evening until 17th September.
The start of the evening tours will be at 9.30 p.m. at the Torre Piezometrica, arriving at about 11 p.m. in Piazza dei Miracoli. The length of the walk is about 2 kilometres. Tickets cost €10 (plus €1.50 advance sale fee), free for accompanying persons with disabilities, recommended for visitors aged 12 and over. People with disabilities, with prior notice, can be taken down via the Torre Piezometrica lift as there is no lift at the Torre Santa Maria.
Reservations are recommended while spaces last by calling 0500987480 Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm, on the Coopculture website at http://bit.ly/BigliettiMura, or at the Torre Santa Maria ticket office during opening hours.
It is mandatory to be in possession of the Green Pass, according to national regulations.
The initiative is part of the city walls ''Night Experience'' project, conceived and developed by the cultural association Acquario della Memoria and supported by the Fondazione Pisa, in collaboration with other partners including Ati Mura di Pisa (CoopCulture, Itinera, Promocultura), Comune di Pisa, Mappa Lab - Università di Pisa - Dipartimento di Civiltà e Forme del Sapere, Nanof, Internet Festival, Alma Artis Academy.
