The Synagogue is probably part of the oldest Jewish nucleus in Tuscany.
The Pisa Synagogue, recently upgraded with a major intervention completed in 2015, is located in a 14th-century building converted into a place of worship in 1595. It underwent an initial restoration in 1785, and was then completely renovated around 1860 to a design by the Piedmontese architect Marco Treves.
Visiting the Synagogue of Pisa means experiencing an exciting chapter in the history of the Tuscan Jewish community!
You can also complete your experience with a visit to the Cemetery.
Every Sunday, guided tours of the Synagogue to explore its architecture and learn about the history of Pisa's Jewish community. Until 23 March at 3 p.m. and 4.30 p.m., from 30 March at 5 p.m., booking required and purchase on the site at https://www.coopculture.it/it/prodotti/la-sinagoga-di-pisa-storia-cultura-e-festivita/.
