The Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna participates in ‘Universities Unveiled’ National University Day, an event conceived by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) with the aim of creating open dialogue between universities, families and future students. Through events, workshops and debates, this special occasion allows people to discover the propulsive role that universities play in the development of the country and the promotion of social cohesion.
The 2025 edition pays special attention to university cities, recognising them as privileged spaces of interaction between the academic world and the territory. Places of knowledge production and dissemination, these cities are configured as true platforms of innovation at the service of the community. In this context, the collaboration between CRUI and ANCI is being strengthened to make university spaces increasingly sustainable, dynamic and attractive, to the benefit of both the student community and citizens.
For ‘Universities Unveiled’ the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna opens the doors of two historic buildings to the public with two exclusive guided tours:
- Palazzo Pilo Boyl, the new seat of the Rectorate, an elegant historical residence that now hosts institutional, administrative and academic activities.
- Il Collegio di Santa Croce in Fossabanda, recently restored and inaugurated in December 2024, an example of architectural recovery in a sustainable key.
These itineraries will provide an opportunity to explore the history and transformation of the School, highlighting the role of research and education as a trait d'union between past and future. The initiative aims to engage the public in the institution's academic mission, highlighting its contribution to the cultural, scientific and social development of the region.
