Friday, June 28 at the Park of Concette will be held the final evening of the eighth edition of "Independent Trame - International Festival of Independent Short Film", organized by the association Trame Indipendenti.
Starting at 9 p.m. an evening of cinema and participation with the screening of the ten short films finalists of the 'narrative' category, and the awarding of prizes to the winners of the 'narrative', 'animation' and 'documentary' categories.
The fourteen finalists of these last two categories were given a special screening, Aspettando trame Indipendenti, held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Cantiere Sanbernardo in Pisa in the presence of two of the directors candidates, from Finland and Italy.
The Festival "Independent plots" is an expression of the collaboration and support of a partner qualified as the historic Cinema Arsenale and the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa.
During the evening of June 28, the audience will be able to vote on their favorite short film, helping to award the Audience Award and will be able to speak with some of the nominees directors, from Spain and Portugal, who will be guests of the Festival.
In addition, during the evening will be awarded the Jury Prize for the best short film of the three categories in the race.
The jury members of the 2024 edition are Luca Cappelli (editor), Alberto Iorio (film-maker and editor, collaborator of the Cinema Arsenale), Roberto Merlino (artistic director of "Corte Tripoli Cinematografica"), Anna Moretto (student of Cultural Heritage at the University of Pisa), Marco Romeo (Independent plots), Michele Sinisi (actor, theater director and playwright) and Nicola Trabucco (director, professor of videomaking at the University of Pisa, scientific technician at the Multimedia Laboratory of the Department of Civilization and Forms of Knowledge).
The twenty-four finalists of the three categories come from sixteen countries: Australia, Canada, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, USA. Short films in foreign languages will be subtitled in Italian.
