The historical exhibition dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Red Cross and the 136th anniversary of the construction of the Pisa Committee of the Cri opened in the atrium of Palazzo Gambacorti.
The exhibition brings together material and memorabilia from the historical collection of the Pisa Cri Committee, the Italian Red Cross Military Corps (the latter kept in Florence at the Tuscany Mobilisation Centre) and the historical archive of the Pisa Inspectorate of the Cri Voluntary Nurses.
Through objects, means and images it will be possible to retrace the history of humanitarian relief carried out locally and in armed conflicts by the Italian Red Cross with the deployment of men, hospitals, units and wards.
The exhibition, which will remain open until 10 May, was set up by the Pisa Red Cross Committee, in collaboration with the Tuscany Mobilisation Centre of the Cri Volunteer Military Corps and the Pisa Inspectorate of the Cri Volunteer Nurse Corps, and with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa.
Opening time: from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
