Amico Museo is back! Spring air in the Tuscan museums, now in its 21st edition. From 10 May to 2 June 2024, the museums of Tuscany welcome the invitation of the Region to open their doors with guided tours, presentations of works, extraordinary exhibitions, workshops, animations.  The theme of this edition is Museums for teaching and research, also identified by ICOM - International Council of Museums.

As part of the day, the Museums of the University Museum System presents a rich program of events.

EGYPTOLOGICAL COLLECTIONS (Via S. Frediano 12 - first floor)

• Saturday, June 1, at 4 p.m. "Mission Archaeologist: in search of the mysterious department" ". Laboratory for families, recommended age 6-12 years. Cost: 6,00€ per child. Event by appointment. 

GRAPHICS MUSEUM (Lungarno Galilei 9)

• Thursday, May 16, at noon opening of the exhibition "Rosa Fragrans" - botanical drawings and watercolors of Aurora Tazza
• Saturday, May 25, at 4.30 p.m. "Spring between colors and flowers". Workshop for families, recommended age 6-11 years. Free event by appointment.

MUSEUM OF PHYSICAL INSTRUMENTS - SCIENTIFIC GAMES  (Via dei Macelli 2B - Via Nicola Pisano 25)

• Saturday 11 May, 4-6.30 p.m. laboratory of astrobiology for families. Recommended age from 8 years and up.
• Saturday 11 May, at 9 p.m. free conference "Is there anyone among the stars?" . Free event without reservation.

GIPSOTECA OF ANCIENT ART AND ANTIQUARIUM

• Friday, May 10, 4 p.m. at Aula A of Palazzo Ricci, free conference without reservation "Prehistories and Protostories of the Mediterranean and the Ancient Near East".
• Wednesday, May 15, 4 p.m. at Piazza San Paolo All'Orto, presentation of the new prehistoric collection of the Gipsoteca. Cost: 2,00€, recommended reservation.
