Ponte di mezzo for the little ones
The game is simple: it all begins with a long procession of 700 extras who wear seventeenth-century clothes and parade along the Arno. Later the challenge on the bridge between the two rivals begins: the northern part and the southern part of the Arno, each side has six teams made up of twenty mighty warriors and a captain: the teams, two at a time, one for the north the other for the south, challenge each other by pushing a large cart on rails, until their opponent's flag falls and the winning team wins the point. Nord - Santa Maria, San Francesco, San Michele, Satiri, Mattaccini, Calci.
Sud - Sant’Antonio, San Martino, San Marco, Leoni, Dragoni, Delfini.
