Spring has arrived and the Walls of Pisa are in bloom with colours and scents that make a walk at altitude even more special. On Saturday 13 May, a special guided tour led by the staff of the Botanical Garden and Museum will allow participants to learn more about the urban flora, from the famous capers of the Walls to the shrubs and all the plants growing in the immediate vicinity.
Meet at 3.00 p.m. at the Torre Piezometrica access point behind the Fibonacci Pole, with access from the walkway outside the Walls from Via Veneto or Via San Francesco, and arrive in Piazza dei Miracoli. The visit will continue in the Botanical Garden, from the entrance on Via Roma, a true jewel of the city that contains plant species and stories to tell. The total duration of the visit will be approximately three hours, places are limited with reservations recommended by email to educazione.ortomuseobot@sma.unipi.it by Friday 14 April at 12 noon.
Ticket price 8 euros, which includes access to the Walls and access to the Botanical Garden, to be paid on site.
The Botanical Walls will return with a new appointment on Saturday 10 June, with new plants and new seasonal flora to discover.
