Sunday, September 3, 2023 the Museum of Natural History (https://www.msn.unipi.it/) organizes a naturalistic excursion dedicated to the natural or semi-natural microenvironments along the walls with observation of rocks, plants and animals, listening to the songs of birds and examination of traces of animals.
The summer edition will take place at sunset, when the walls come alive with the presence of bats, geckos, nocturnal birds of prey and other small animals that find at these heights a particular habitat, an ecological corridor in the city center.
Information and reservations:
Meeting: 5p.m. at the Wooden Tower (Piazza Federico del Rosso, 3)
Term: 7p.m. in Piazza dei Miracoli
Participants: maximum 20
Comfortable shoes, water, cap and binoculars are recommended.
10 euro tickets including the entrance to the Walls of Pisa, 1.50 euro for the booking right.

The visits are organized by the Museum of Natural History of the University of Pisa, in collaboration with coopculture, Cooperativa Itinera and Promocultura, the association of companies that manages the walkway at the altitude of the Ancient Walls of Pisa. The initiative is the result of collaboration between the Walls and the Museum which also provides cross-discounts for people who visit both sites during normal opening hours.
