On the occasion of the twelfth edition of Terre di Pisa Food and Wine Festival, the Sistema Museale di Ateneo (SMA) offers guided tours and free openings on 18, 19 and 20 October 2024. Free admission and participation to the events in the SMA museums participating in the initiative are provided upon presentation at the museum ticket office of the special coupon provided by the SMA and distributed at the Terre di Pisa stand in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
Here is the programme of initiatives proposed by the University Museums:
EGYPTOLOGICAL COLLECTIONS (Via San Frediano 12 - first floor)
- Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October
Free admission and individual visit from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Not accessible to persons with disabilities. Please note that, for security reasons, entrances are limited. In case of high attendance, our staff may ask you to wait a few minutes outside the museum before starting your visit.

“La scienza in tavola“. Continuous cycle laboratories on food and wine science for all ages (duration 30 minutes). Join us for a fascinating day of experiments and scientific discoveries! The event combines three intriguing food chemistry themes to offer you an immersive experience about the wonders of cooking. The workshops will be dedicated to the discovery of colours in food, substances found in food and wine and the importance of acidity in food.
