From Saturday 14 December 2024 to Wednesday 8 January 2025, GAMeC CentroArteModerna Pisa will host the twenty-fifth edition of the exhibition ‘GRAFICA D'AUTORE OPERE SCELTE’ (SELECTED GRAPHIC WORKS), curated and arranged by Massimiliano Sbrana.
This annual review is distinguished by the quality of the works on paper on display, as each edition of this exhibition pays special attention not only to serial graphics (such as lithography, engravings, serigraphy, etching) but also to unique works realised on paper, offering visitors a rare opportunity to appreciate the variety and richness of the artistic techniques used by the authors present.
The works on display range from the second half of the 20th century to the most contemporary national realities, creating a bridge between tradition and innovation. This careful selection ensures that each piece on display is of the highest quality, reflecting the artists' technical skill and creativity. The techniques used therefore range from engraving to lithography, from serigraphy to freehand drawing, offering a complete overview of the expressive possibilities of ‘auteur graphics’.
The exhibition represents a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate the rich artistic tradition also of Tuscany and the Pisan territory and its continuous evolution. Each work on display tells a story, reflecting the attention to detail and technical mastery that characterise the authors' work.
